Sunshine after the Rain
It’s been a cold rainy week here in my neck of the woods. I have tried not to complain about the rain because in reality we need the moisture. However, can I just say does it all have to come at once? I miss the sun! We hardly had any snow this winter, which in comparison to last years snowpocolyspe was ok with me. So when mother nature decided to dump on us the first of March I was determined not to hate winter. I mean really, it was the first of March! We had had 40 to 50 degree weather for a few weeks leading up to the snow. How long could it last? Right?
Well here we are three weeks later, our yard is still covered in snow and for the last few days we have had warmer temperatures and rain. So now we are melting like crazy! Hopefully we don’t flood. Good times!
This morning after taking my kids to school I walked into my home and just absorbed the sunshine coming in the windows. It felt so good. I am definitely a lover of the sun. I feel so happy with the warm sun shinning in. Even if it’s 20 degrees outside I’m great as long as the sun is shinning.
Times of Darkness
I think this week has been a good reminder to me that sometimes it is dark. I’m not talking about the lack of sunshine either. I’ve been thinking a lot about why things can be so hard and why it makes me so grateful that I am not in this world alone. No matter what is going on I have my Savior Jesus Christ to be there with me through it all. It feels like all of my kids have had hard things this week, and I want to take away their burdens but I know that I can’t. All I can do is try to help them. It can be so hard to let them struggle through. I just want to save them.
The Light of the World
Jesus Christ is the light of the world. Through him all things are possible. I know that I am not alone and will never be forgotten. How lucky are we to have this truth in our lives. Thanks for stopping by and reading my random thoughts for today. I hope you have a blessed day!
