  1. Cream Butter and sugar together. Add eggs one at a time, scraping bowl after each addition. Add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and add to butter mixture. Mix well. Add enough milk to make the dough come together. Do not over mix! Chill prepared dough overnight, then allow to warm to room temp before rolling out. Roll out dough and cut with cookie cutters. I like to roll mine pretty thin because they do puff up a little during baking. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.

Frosting Recipe

1/2 Cup Butter (softened)

5-6 Cups Powdered Sugar

1 tsp Vanilla

dash of salt

food coloring

Combine the above ingredients until well mixed. Add hot milk 1 Tbs at a time until you reach the desired consistency. It’s approximately 6 Tbs for thick icing. The frosting will harden as it sets.
